Modern Workplace Team Leader
Dr. Max is the leading pharmacy chain in Central Europe. In every country where we are active, Dr. Max is dedicated to improving the level of health care available by guaranteeing access to a broad assortment of medicines and pharmacy services. Pharmacies are currently present in 6 countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Italy) with great expansion plans across Europe for the near future. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Modern Workplace Team Leader to oversee and manage our Modern Workplace team. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring the smooth deployment and operation of all workplace technologies and systems across our HQs, Pharmacies, and Warehouses. This role demands a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to process automation and improvement.
Required education: University Degree
Required languages: English (advanced), Czech or Slovak is highly beneficial

- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the Modern Workplace team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies for workplace technology standardization and optimization.
- Leading Projects: Lead and participate in all projects of Modern Workplace area
- Leading IT Operations: Lead and participate in all IT OPS processes respecting and following ITIL best practices and ISO/IEC standard
- Leading international Modern Workplace Community: Workplace IT engineers are employed in each country where Dr. Max operates. All of them are members of a modern workplace community sharing the knowledge, helping each other and focusing on priority projects
What is your team on Group level responsible for?
- Operating Systems Management: Oversee the standardization, patching, policy, and application deployment for Windows workstations
- Hardware Management: Maintain an up-to-date inventory of drivers and firmware for the HW portfolio
- Endpoint Protection: Manage endpoint protection solutions, including ESET Endpoint Security
- Active Directory Data Management: Oversee the management of multidomain Active Directory and Entra ID
- Microsoft 365 Management: Oversee the Microsoft365 platform and integration with other services
- Mail Flow Management: Oversee the Exchange hybrid solution and security hardening
- Process Automation: Identify and implement automation opportunities for workplace processes
- Documentation: Prepare and share documentation with other IT departments (both technical and processes related)
- IT Operations & Support: Act as a higher-level support (L2 and L3) for the Modern Workplace team and other IT teams
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of interacting with both technical and non-technical audiences across different countries
- Leadership experience: You have been working as team leader
- Technology hands on history: We expect proven history as a modern workplace technology specialist
- Basic security principles experience: Because we consider the security as a natural dimension of any IT technology
- Solution-Oriented: You have experience with broad/complicated projects ideally in international environment
- Network Knowledge: Strong understanding of Network, Firewall, DNS, and Certificate Authority (CA) management
- Automation Skills: Proficiency in scripting and a focus on automation
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, Czech or Slovak would by highly beneficial
