This role is crucial for streamlining developer workflows and contributing to our digital innovation journey. - Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, providing guidance and support
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team
- Set team goals, monitor progress, and ensure successful product delivery
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Guide the team in implementing and managing infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform
- Ensure the development and maintenance of IaC scripts to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources
- Cloud Infrastructure Management (Azure)
- Oversee the management of cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with development and operation teams to design and implement scalable cloud solutions
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for cloud services
- FinOps: Cost Management:
- Lead the team in monitoring and optimizing cloud costs and usage
- Implement cost-saving strategies and ensure cost efficiency in cloud operations
- Provide regular cost reports and forecasts to stakeholders
- Resource Automation:
- Ensure the team takes responsibility for the automation of supported resources
- Oversee the automation of database creation and other resource provisioning processes to ensure they can be executed with a single click after approval
- Monitoring and Logging:
- Guide the team in making monitoring and logging tools for developers
- Describe and implement best practices for monitoring and logging
- Ensure that the logging and monitoring systems provide actionable insights and support troubleshooting efforts
- 3+ years of experience in leading and managing infrastructure teams.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills in English
- Knowledge of the platform engineering concept
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with Terraform and other IaC tools
- Experience with cost management tools and strategies
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud issues
- Experience in building solutions for monitoring, logging, security, and scalability of applications
- Experience in Version control solutions, such as Git/SVN
- Experience in continuous integration, continuous delivery/deployment tooling
- Knowledge of Linux Environment include scripting skills e.g. Bash, Python
- Experience with deploying and managing micro-services using container orchestration platforms
